I can't draw worth a darn, but I have, from time to time, assembled pre-existing images into pleasing forms. A long time ago, I did a batch of collages from advertisements in computer trade rags (plus one issue of BusinessWeek). Lately, I've branched out into computerized clip-art.
Some of these have been posted to talk.bizarre. Some of them are revealed here for the first time ever.
The collages are entirely from magazine clippings, almost always advertisements from computer trade rags, sometimes other sources. They are arranged in chronological order, as near as I can recall. Some of them are quite old, forgive the traces of yellowing that I haven't quite expunged in the scanning process.
No longer need I carefully trim and paste. Of course, I don't actually have good enough computer equipment for photorealism, but that's not what I'm looking for, anyway.

answered by a full-color photo on the front page of the Boston Globe, after
he visited Denver for World Youth Day.
Note that this page is lynx enhanced! Well, maybe not, but it DAMNED well isn't Netscape enhanced, and all of the images have meaningful ALT text. Well, at least as meaningful as the thumbnails.
