I'm in negotiations with some people, only one of whom I actually know at all, to maybe get us together and start a practice band. Never been in a band before. I decided to move from my self-taught folk guitar roots into rock guitar (I have a little bit more guidance this time) and see how I do and where it takes me. Then this guy I know dropped this idea in my lap last fall, he wants me to sing and asks me to play, too. We're only now setting it up at all, but it looks like not until May. I'm psyched. He wants to get through this term and then find a more conducive space so we can play. I've been practicing and even beginning to write some music here and there, although mostly fragments. Lyrics I have coming out various orifices, so there should be plenty to sing, just not much to sing it to as yet.
